To reduce the amount of the darkness, pull the gradient handles farther outside of the triangle. Be sure that the bottom gradient stop is selected and choose the next to the darkest brown for that stop #552200 The Gradient stop that is selected will be blue. Beside the word “New,” select the second box, which is the Radial Gradient. When you choose the Gradient Tool, you will see the Gradient Options in the horizontal menu at the top. The Gradient Tool is used to shade shapes with graduated coloring from color to color and/or from opaque color to transparency. On the Tool Box, which is on the Left, choose the Gradient Tool.

When it is selected, a bounding box will surround the triangle. With the Select tool, click on the light brown triangular head. In the layers menu, turn off the visibility of the dark part of the head. Go back to the Edit Menu, click Paste in Place. The layer will turn blue, indicating that it has been selected. Now, we want to paste the dark part of the head in the layer that we created for it.
